DataStage Developer

– Experience: 6 – 8 years

– Location: Remote

Responsibilities:

1. ETL Development:

   – Design, develop, and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using IBM DataStage.

   – Leverage DataStage for data extraction, transformation, and loading from various source systems.

2. IICS Integration:

   – Integrate DataStage workflows with Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) for end-to-end data integration and management.

   – Collaborate with IICS developers to ensure seamless data flow across platforms.

3. Data Modeling:

   – Work closely with data architects and analysts to understand data requirements and implement effective data models.

   – Implement and maintain data models within DataStage for optimal performance.

4. Quality Assurance:

   – Develop and execute test plans to ensure the accuracy and reliability of ETL processes.

   – Troubleshoot and resolve data integration issues in collaboration with the testing and support teams.

5. Performance Tuning:

   – Optimize DataStage jobs and IICS workflows for performance and efficiency.

   – Monitor and address performance bottlenecks in collaboration with database administrators and infrastructure teams.

6. Documentation:

   – Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for DataStage jobs and IICS workflows.

   – Ensure that documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.

7. Collaboration:

   – Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders, to understand and address data integration requirements.

   – Provide technical expertise and support to other team members.

8. Continuous Learning:

   – Stay informed about the latest advancements in DataStage and IICS technologies.

   – Identify opportunities to enhance data integration processes through the adoption of new features and best practices.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

2. 4-5 years of hands-on experience in ETL development using IBM DataStage.

3. Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS).

4. Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and analysis.

5. Understanding of data warehousing concepts and principles.

6. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

1. Certification in IBM DataStage or Informatica.

2. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

3. Experience with other ETL tools or data integration platforms.

4. Knowledge of data governance and security best practices.
